{"id":1046,"date":"2012-06-18T09:51:31","date_gmt":"2012-06-18T16:51:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/endless-swarm.com\/?p=1046"},"modified":"2012-06-18T09:53:03","modified_gmt":"2012-06-18T16:53:03","slug":"insect-art-in-the-east-bay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/endless-swarm.com\/?p=1046","title":{"rendered":"Insect Art In The East Bay"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There&#8217;s an Insect Art Show happening right on my doorstep, and what&#8217;s more, I&#8217;ve been invited to take part!<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, June 23, <a href=\"http:\/\/vivaterraria.com\/\">Terraria<\/a> (a new boutique terrarium art store) will host <a href=\"http:\/\/us4.campaign-archive2.com\/?u=e47fadb9ca0990ad8fc21f91f&amp;id=8ce390c0b3\">The Surreal World of Insects<\/a>, featuring a great collection of insect-themed photographs, paintings, and sculptures from distinguished creators such as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/beckyjaffe\/\">Becky Jaffe<\/a>, Pat Hollingsworth, Tami Stewart, Steev Odell, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.schlunegger.com\/\">Danielle Schlunegger<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/juxtamorph.com\/\">Andrew Werby<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/colleenpaz.com\/2012\/02\/14\/b-u-g-j-a-r-s\/\">Colleen Paz<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/kristenrieke.carbonmade.com\/projects\/3159536#1\">Kristin Riek<\/a>e, and Todd Cox.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/366041340117150\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8004\/7161254421_ecd26af700_b.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"410\" height=\"614\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m excited and honored to exhibit a few of my masks, my giant bronze insect leg, and the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/endless-swarm.com\/?p=252\">Grasshopper cart<\/a>, which will be laden with verminous antennae made just for the event.<\/p>\n<p>Terraria is located at 1757 Alcatraz Ave in Berkeley, and the opening for the show will be from 6pm to 10pm, so join me in a celebration of local insect art! <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-681\" title=\"z end\" src=\"http:\/\/endless-swarm.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/insectgod_Vtiny.jpg\" alt=\"z end\" width=\"20\" height=\"20\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There&#8217;s an Insect Art Show happening right on my doorstep, and what&#8217;s more, I&#8217;ve been invited to take part!
